Thirty years later, out of the blue, Homes was contacted by a lawyer on behalf of her birth mother, and they began to correspond; her biological father contacted her soon after. Autrice de plusieurs romans, lauréate de nombreuses distinctions, et, notamment, d'une bourse de la Fondation Guggenheim, A. M. Homes collabore à Vanity Fair et a publié fictions et essais dans The New Yorker, Granta, Harper's, MacSweeney, Artforum et The New York Times. Elle vit à New York et enseigne le creative writing à Princeton.
